How to use:Use your sleeping bag on an insulating mat to protect it from the ground. Change into clean, dry clothes before going to bed, as moisture and body oils reduce the insulating efficiency of the down.

Storage when travelling:Never roll or fold the bag. Insert your feet first and stuff it looselyinto its compression sack. This prevents constant breakage points in the down. Use a waterproof bag in case of heavy rain during transport.

Home storage:At home, remove the bag from its compression sack. Store it loosely in the included storage sack(mesh/cotton) or hang it by its loops so that the down retains its full loft (CUIN). Never store it compressed.

Care:Wash very occasionally in a machine (30°C max, delicate/down cycle) with a special down detergent and no fabric softener. Tumble dry at low temperature with tennis ballsto re-separate and fluff up the feathers. Do not iron. The bag must be 100% dry before storage.

How should I store my sleeping bag after a trip?
At home, use the "storage bag" provided. It allows the down to breathe and remain lofted to maintain its fill power (700 CUIN). Never leave it in its compression sack for extended periods.

Can I wash my sleeping bag at home?
Yes, but rarely. Use a delicate cycle at 30°C with a suitable down-specific soap. Tumble drying on low heat with tennis balls is essential to prevent the feathers from clumping together.

What is the difference between synthetic and down sleeping bags (like the Lodenn)?
The Lodenn uses premium duck down. Compared to synthetic, down offers an unbeatable warmth-to-weight ratio (only 0.94 kg for a limit temperature of -7°C) and is extremely compressible. However, it requires more meticulous care and is sensitive to prolonged moisture.

What temperature rating should I choose for my sleeping bag?
The Lodenn is a high-performance winter bag (Comfort -1°C / Limit -7°C). It is ideal for winter bivouacs, mountaineering, or high-altitude hikes where temperatures drop below freezing.

How can I prevent my sleeping bag from getting dirty?
Use a sleeping bag liner (sheet bag) made of silk or microfibre inside. This protects the down from body oils and sweat, and saves you from having to wash the sleeping bag too often (you just need to wash the liner).
