Use and Maintenance
Use:Use your sleeping bag on a sleeping pad to protect it from rough surfaces. Avoid wearing dirty clothes inside, as oils and dirt reduce insulation over time.
Travel Storage:Do not roll the bag. Start by inserting the foot end and stuff it looselydirectly into its stuff sack, pushing out the air. Use a dry bag to protect it from moisture if necessary.
Home Storage:At home, store your sleeping bag loosely (hanging or in a large mesh bag) to maintain its loft. Never store it compressed in its stuff sack.
Care:Machine wash at 30°C maximum (delicate cycle) without fabric softener. Air dry flat or tumble dry on low heat. Do not iron.
FAQ
How should I store my sleeping bag after a trip?
At home, store your sleeping bag loosely (hanging or in a large mesh bag) to maintain its loft. Never leave it compressed in its stuff sack for long periods, as this will damage the hollow fibers.
Can I wash my sleeping bag at home?
Yes. Machine wash it at a maximum of 30°C (delicate cycle) with a mild detergent and no fabric softener. Air dry it or tumble dry on low heat. Make sure it is completely dry before storing it.
What is the difference between synthetic sleeping bags (like the Condor 200) and down sleeping bags?
The Condor 200 uses a synthetic filling of recycled hollow fibers. Unlike down, synthetic is more affordable, easier to clean, and retains its insulating properties even if it gets wet. Down is lighter and more compressible, but it is sensitive to water.
What temperature should I choose for my sleeping bag?
The Condor 200 has a comfort temperature of 12°Cand a limit of 8°C. It is ideal for summer camping, mild spring nights, or overnight stays in mountain huts. For winter outings (near 0°C or below), you will need a warmer bag.
How can I prevent my sleeping bag from getting dirty?
Always use an insulating pad to protect the outer fabric from the ground. Change clothes before going to bed to avoid transferring sweat or body oils to the inner fabric, and use a sleeping bag liner to facilitate cleaning.
